Associate Marriage and Family Therapist #136502
It can be overwhelming to handle everything on your own. This can lead to feeling things such as, anxiousness, frustration, or depression. It may not always be easy to seek help and it's normal to feel uncomfortable with that. I strive to create a welcoming space where my clients and I can work together to create a plan to overcoming these obstacles. I believe therapy is a collaborative environment while the therapist's role is to serve as a guide. Being open to exploring the challenges you are facing can help me to guide you to finding what the root causes as well as, provide you with tools to help you manage difficulties that may come your way.
I approach therapy with cultural humility and being trauma informed. I have experience with using evidence based practices such as, cognitive behavioral therapy, cognitive processing therapy, person centered therapy and play therapy. I have a background in working with children and adults in areas of anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, self esteem, and personal growth.
Mental health challenges can impact other parts of our lives and sometimes make us feel like we aren't ourselves. Seeking help is something to be seen as empowering. We aren't meant to handle everything on our own and it's okay not to. Together we can work through the sources of these issues and find ways to manage the challenges they may cause. Feel welcome to reach out to me to discuss services and to see if we are a good fit for collaborating together.
